This Month...

September is integration month! The Intergenerational Foundation launched Intergeneration Month with the goal to connect generations and encourage those from varying age groups to impart wisdom and learn from one another. The celebration of Intergeneration Month started out as a single day, recognized on the first Sunday of October. In 2012, Intergeneration Day was expanded to an entire month, now celebrated in September. You can commemorate this month by joining a Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, volunteering at a retirement home, or finding a shared hobby with a grandparent or grandchild.

Other notable celebrations in September include…
  • Labor Day
  • 9/11 Remembrance
  • Self-Care Awareness Month
  • Suicide Awareness Month
"September comes from the Latin word "Septum", meaning seven, as it was the seventh month of the year on the Roman calendar."

What's new...
The Map feature on our search results page is a great way to find care in a specific area or neighborhood.
  • You can zoom in and out as needed to search a specific area
  • The Teal Pin shows which providers currently have availability
  • When you hover over a pin, the provider name and address will appear
  • The premium providers will also have a photo and you can click directly to their profile page for more information
*This is particularly helpful when searching for housing. For Home health, Hospice and Homecare, the office location is not as important.
