This Month...
April is Parkinson's Awareness Month.
This April, we pause to honor the millions of people living with Parkinson's disease — and the researchers, caregivers, and advocates who stand beside them every day. The primary color associated with Parkinson's awareness is silver, symbolizing the movement challenges that characterize the condition, and the strength and resilience of those affected by Parkinson's. Today, more than 10 million people live with Parkinson's disease worldwide. So this month, wear silver. Share someone's story. Fund the research. And remind those living with Parkinson's that they are seen. Learn more at https://www.parkinson.org/parkinsons-awareness-month

Other notable celebrations in April include...

  • April 1st - April Fool's Day
  • April 5th - Easter Sunday
  • April 7th - World Health Day
  • April 22nd - Earth Day

"The Comfort of Companionship in Memory Care"
Moving a loved one into Memory Care often starts with a checklist. Safety. Medical support. Comfort. Structure. These things matter deeply. They create the foundation for good care. It’s not always the care plan that defines the experience. It’s who’s sitting beside you at breakfast. Who notices when you’re quieter than usual. Who shares the small, steady rhythms of the day. That’s where companion living can quietly, but profoundly, change everything.

Many families are surprised to learn that shared studios can be one of the most supportive options for individuals experiencing memory loss. Private apartments are available, of course, but companion living offers something less tangible and often more powerful: a familiar presence, a shared routine, and a subtle sense of reassurance woven into the day. For many residents, that’s the difference between simply being well cared for and truly living to the fullest...
