Mid-Willamette Valley
Monthly Marketing Update- March 2025

The past month has been crazy busy as we prepare for our second rate increase in 17 years. Our expenses have increased about 20% over the past several years due to increased paper costs, distribution, event costs, and adding more web development to our team. We have been fortunate that the increase in sponsorship has allowed us to postpone this rate increase, but we can't wait any longer to effectively serve the community. The new rates take effect this week, but we have reached out via email and follow-ups to all existing sponsors to give them the opportunity to take advantage of the current rate for the next edition if they reserve their space early. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are so happy to continue working with such great resources in the community. We also sent an email to our full database of contacts as they plan their marketing budgets.

Two big updates to CareAvailability.com:
  1. Last month, we added ALL sponsors to CareAvailability.com, including Support and Referral services. Many sponsors still need to add photos, videos, descriptions, and their brochures to their Premium profiles, but online traffic to these services is growing nicely.
  2. Additionally, on the site, we have seen that many families are unsure where to begin and need more support navigating levels of care. We recently added a helpful "Not sure where to start" quiz on the homepage in an effort to help families better search for the appropriate level of care. Please check out these new features.

Sponsors: Don’t forget to post your events on RetirementConnection.com. We include events for professionals in these newsletters, and it is a great way to ensure there are fewer conflicts with other events when you plan ahead.

We are pleased to announce the latest updates to CareAvailability.com, designed to improve user experience and provide additional value to our sponsors. The site now features additional "Support and Referral Services" listings, as well as sponsor profiles that highlight their services. All paid sponsors have been added to the site and can now claim their listings and add descriptions, logos, photos, and more.

CareAvailability values its relationships with referral agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations, recognizing these partners' critical role in connecting seniors with vital resources. This enhancement reinforces our dedication to collaboration and open communication, ensuring seamless transitions for seniors.

Nugget Of Knowledge
"Tough times don't last. Tough teams do." ~ Robert Schuller

Lately, I have been reading a lot about honey bees and hive mentality. An individual bee is somewhat fragile with a short lifespan—maybe 20-60 days. Collectively, they support a hive that could last years and years. The individual bees are mortal and depend on each other to survive. The interdependence makes the sum far greater and tougher than the individual. It is more important that the community is strong, not just one bee. The same is true in any team.
