Puget Sound
Monthly Marketing Update- November 2022

We just finished refilling all of the libraries, hospitals, physician offices, senior centers, pharmacies, and other locations with more Retirement Connection guides. We sweep through Snohomish, King, and Pierce counties at least every quarter to refill, as well as replenish as needed throughout the year. We are excited with the increased distribution at clinic locations, which seem to be going through 3 times the amount of previous years. Please order more guides if you need additional copies. The guides are FREE and we appreciate your help connecting seniors to the resources they need. Consider adding a label to the cover with your name & phone number when distributing the guide to promote your own services.  As you plan your 2023 budgets, please make sure you have included Retirement Connection and CareAvailability. Both of our websites have had significant increases in web traffic over the past few months and more families are reaching out directly to advertisers through these channels.

Make sure Retirement Connection and CareAvailability are in your database as lead sources, to best capture where these leads are coming from. Just recently I met with a regional who did not think she was receiving enough ROI from their advertisement with us, upon reading deeper into notes she saw that several families came in with a guide or contacted her communities through the inquiry form on CareAvailability, but not tracked as such because these were not options to select as a lead source. We learned that she actually had at least 5 prospects and 3 move-ins in the last quarter... which was more than enough to warrant continued advertising with us.

Case Management week last month was a huge success and together with other community partners, we were able to support more than 1000 case managers at 47 hospitals. Every hospital is running low on staff, but high on census and patient capacity; so the gifts were warmly received and very appreciated.

Nugget Of Knowledge

"Calm seas never made a good sailor." — Franklin D. Roosevelt

Calm seas don’t test a sailor's skills, knowledge, or perseverance. The same is true in our personal and professional lives. We learn more in rough waters because we are forced to make crucial decisions- without the luxury of added time or resources. We must rely on the knowledge available, and our ability to find that extra bit of energy and grit. For me, the past months have included: sending my oldest to college, my husband’s cancer, and a business pivoting post covid. After the storm, you know where you fell short, where you succeeded, and what you learned. I am still learning!
