Monthly Marketing Update- June 2022

The past 45 days have been the most dramatic and busy of my entire life, as we learned my husband’s cancer had spread significantly. While managing my emotions surrounding our future, I am taking on some of his work tasks, because he is also my business partner. The Retirement Connection team continues to amaze me, and hopefully, we have not dropped any of the plates we are currently spinning. In the past month alone, we have hosted a Kentucky Derby Sponsor Appreciation party, Tacoma Health Care Providers after-hours event, Puget Sound Release Party, Southern Oregon Release Party, and a Happy Hour in Roseburg, and I traveled to Washington DC to advocate for Alzheimer’s care and research. Our team continues to shift roles to best serve you and the community. I may not be as visible at network meetings, but I assure you I am very much engaged.

Erin, Barret, Meghan, Jill, Kyle, Elizabeth, Steve, Lyman, and I (visit our "about us" page if you need a face to go with the name) are adjusting roles to make sure we remain responsive to your needs and continue to be the most comprehensive resource available in our community. As we grow and adjust, we have hired a new team member, Anthony Statham. He joins us as a content writer to increase our SEO for both RetirementConnection.com and CareAvailability.com.

I also loved the Roseburg Happy Hour and it was wonderful to finally see people in person, after so long apart. We are already starting Earlybird Ad reservations for next year, and anyone interested in advertising can save 10% just by planning ahead. This is a great way to make sure we remain/ or get included in your 2023 budget; yet billing and ad copy are not due until next year. You are simply saving best ad placement at a discounted rate.

We include a robust list of events and networking opportunities on RetirementConnection.com, including landing pages for recurring network meetings. To receive a complimentary page in the networking section, a meeting must represent the following:

Be specific to the senior industry
Be open to anyone from the senior industry to attend, and not a close network
Have a Regular attendance of 25+
Typically held in person rather than on-line

We know there are many other valuable meetings to attend, and we encourage you to do so. We hold to these standards, in an effort to highlight larger networking opportunities, rather than just list every possible meeting in the community. If you are not seeing specific details for a meeting, it may be because the meeting does not currently meet these parameters, but may still be meeting. We will remain in contact with the organizers and hopefully list again in the future
