Mid-Willamette Valley Monthly Marketing Update- August 2022After a few recent conversations, I realize that my last newsletters caused a bit of confusion about our growth. Retirement Connection is NOT expanding into new markets- we have our hands full distributing more than 200,000 guides each year and coordinating events to support the local community. Retirement Connection remains the one true comprehensive local resource for seniors and their families. The guide continues to grow in the 4 markets we serve: Puget Sound, Portland/Vancouver, Mid Willamette Valley, and Southern Oregon. However, our sister company, CareAvailability.com is expanding into new states. CareAvailability.com is a separate project, and the website does help our Retirement Connection sponsors increase their web presence. I will continue to give an update each month as CareAvailability.com expands into new states because I know you sometimes help families from other areas. It seems that a few people thought we were starting new print guides in other states and we are not- so I wanted to make sure I clarified that.
Our team is in the final wrap up before we print our annual guide. We have collected most of the new ad copy and are finalizing the changes for the housing and homecare grid listings. If you have any
corrections to share with us, please do so this week. As always, I appreciate any referrals you can share for potential advertisers. We are honored to be the official resource for the Alzheimers Association, as well as several hospitals and area agencies on aging. If you know a business that want to connect with senior and their families- we are a one stop shop with: print, online and networking. Thank you in advance for helping us continue to grow.

CareAvailability is growing! CareAvailability.com is a digital-only resource for families and referral sources to search for senior living, care, and hospice across the nation. We are adding numerous states each month in an effort to build a comprehensive site that does not require a log-in to search listings and provides transparent listings for
visitors to contact providers directly. In the past month, we added: North Carolina, South Carolina, Rhode Island, and more to be added later in August. Join the CareAvailability newsletter for more updates.
But more important, is the LOCAL attention the site is bringing to our Retirement Connection sponsors in Oregon and Washington. Our sponsors with Premium profiles with images, and brochures had a huge jump in views. In the past quarter, the clicks on premium profiles increased 400% from 1000 clicks to 4023 clicks this month.

"In teamwork, silence isn’t golden. It’s deadly.” — Mark
Sanborn
Teamwork isn’t just part of a business, it also exists in families and friendships as well. When we don’t communicate our concerns, feelings, or hopes we leave a void for others to fill in the gaps. Unfortunately, what they create to fill in the gaps, may not be what we intended. Use your words!
