Mid-Willamette Valley Monthly Marketing Update- November 2022Hopefully, by now everyone has received the newest edition of the Retirement Connection Guide for Mid-Willamette Valley. They host the
streets last month and we have already distributed more than 10,000 copies. You can find the guides at Hospitals, Senior Centers, Libraries, Doctor's offices, Meals on Wheels sites, and hundreds of additional provider locations. Please order more guides if you need additional copies. The guides are FREE and we appreciate your help connecting seniors to the resources they need. Consider also adding a label to the cover with your name & phone number when distributing the guide to promote your own services.
This year we will NOT host a Release Party, but instead will support our sponsors with a private Kentucky Derby / Wine Tasting event at Four Graces. We felt this was a better way to give our sponsors (aka Advertisers) the gratitude and attention they deserve for making all of our work possible. Last month we hosted a sponsor breakfast (the first in almost 3 years) and we were excited to increase connections among those that attended and to ensure they get the best ROI on their advertising dollars. As you plan your 2023 budgets, please make sure you have included Retirement Connection and CareAvailability.
Case Management week last month was a huge success and together with other community partners, we were able to support more than 1000 case managers at 47 hospitals. Every hospital is running low on staff, but high on census and patient capacity; so the gifts were warmly received and very appreciated. Additionally, our team will be at the Oregon Case Management Conference this weekend near Mt Hood, to further those connections and hopefully schedule more in-person resource fairs again. We are currently working with a few hospitals to plan for the first of the year.

"Calm seas never
made a good sailor." — Franklin D. RooseveltCalm seas don’t test a sailor's skills, knowledge, or perseverance. The same is true in our personal and professional lives. We learn more in rough waters because we are forced to make crucial decisions- without the luxury of added time or resources. We must rely on the knowledge available, and our ability to find that extra bit of energy
and grit. For me, the past months have included: sending my oldest to college, my husband’s cancer, and a business pivoting post covid. After the storm, you know where you fell short, where you succeeded, and what you learned. I am still learning!
