Portland/VancouverMonthly Marketing Update- September 2024
Sometimes we all take a step backwards before we take a step forward. In the last year, I’ve gone through a few transitions in my life, and it makes me think of the seniors who read our guide and the changes in their lives as they lose a spouse or adjust their living situation. Having worked in senior living myself for several years, I would often see a resident initially decline a little bit before they began to thrive. I can relate to this with my current
life... Just when I think I’m hitting a groove I hit a speed bump, and then pick up speed again. We need to remember that in our personal life or in business sometimes it’s just a speed bump. When we reflect on the year so far and forecast forward it’s important to compartmentalize what is a trend and what is a speed bump. As you approach budget planning for 2025 I hope that Retirement Connection and CareAvailability.com are included for next year. If you are operating
at capacity with a waitlist, maybe your message is more brand awareness. If you’re struggling and you need to increase business, maybe there’s a more specific call to action, either way- Retirement Connection is one of the best ways to reach seniors in our local community. Also, in addition to listing senior living and care on CareAvailability.com, we will be adding “support services” to increase exposure for many of our advertisers on that platform for 2025. It’s a
great time to make sure Retirement Connection is part of your budget. Advocate for inclusion, and don’t assume that it’s already allocated.
