THIS MONTH IS DIFFERENT- I really try to keep the newsletter broad and not too personal- but this month, I can’t... This is a large and heavy month for me personally - my mom, who I have worked with will be moving out of state; my best friend and team member, Krista, continues with chemo and remains on medical leave; and my long time team member and my rock, Meghan, who has worked with me for 7 years, is moving to Boise. I am stretched, anxious, sad, scared, and lots of other words that I am not ready to say out loud. BUT… I am also prepared, happy, proud, confident, and inspired. My mom is excited about her next step; Krista is fighting cancer and seems to be winning, and Meghan is still on our team, but with a few minor adjustments. It is odd when you have to break it down- we can manage (but differently). In the senior
industry, every day is different, no matter how well we plan or how well the families we serve may adjust. I guess this experience has framed and prepared me for today.
Now professionally- this week we just completed our team retreat and we reviewed feedback from our sponsor survey, discussed our personal strengths and areas for improvement, and set future company goals. After all the above, I walked away thankful! I am thankful for sponsors who allow me to serve, even if they can’t always quantify the value we bring. I’m thankful to work with people who care, for those that share our guide with seniors, and for the community partners that push us to thrive and look at new opportunities.
I encourage you to get to know our team and to truly let us know you- this is where the magic happens! Retirement Connection is more than “marketing" - it is about building a network and connections!
