Just when I thought I may be able to be out and about more freely, it seems that we may be living with the “new normal” of COVID for longer than expected. We have passed the 100 days now, and I am definitely feeling it.
Quarantine has given me some time to evaluate my priorities, my schedule, and some relationships much more than I anticipated. I am choosing to see this as a positive side effect to really focus on what matters most in those areas. We are all very very busy people, but these past three months have given me insight into what is “necessary” and what may be “lacking”- both in my personal life, as well as professional. My biggest take away... if it is important, it is possible to find time; but I need to make time for things that are important to me.
My initial enthusiasm for ZOOM meetings has greatly diminished over time, it seems to be a necessary evil; however, I try to remain as engaged as possible- even when muted! It has been a great opportunity to work on my receptive body language!
CareAvailability.com went live just over a week ago, and the positive support has been overwhelming. We are still working through some bugs every day; but I appreciate all the screen captures, questions, and feedback we continue to receive. All of this is making the site better. It will probably take us another 2 weeks to complete all the “fixes” and then we are moving forward with additional features, such as videos for families, the ability to text/email search results to
families, and other tools. Please encourage all the housing, home care, home health, and hospice providers that you work with- to update their availability DAILY. Those that have availability and report most recently will show at the top of the search results.
