Monthly Marketing Update- September 2023Last month our team held our annual strategic planning meeting. We took time to focus on our values (Integrity, Quality, Retention, Community, and Volunteerism) and how we live these each and every day. As with any company, we want to grow our business, but this served as a great reminder that our current sponsors are the
backbone of our company and where we will continue to spend our energy. Retirement Connection is not just a place to advertise, we want to be an extension of our sponsors' marketing department throughout the year.
For Mid-Willamette Valley specifically, we are hosting quarterly happy hour events for our sponsors. This is a great way to build connections and gather additional resources for your marketing and outreach. We are still finalizing details but the plan is to start these in October, stay tuned for updates. Retirement Connection Guides can be picked up at more than 200 local locations including: libraries, senior centers, hospitals, Meals on Wheels sites,
senior living communities, and local events. If you need additional copies, they will be provided at no cost. Visit our Guide Location Map to help seniors pick up a guide, and If you want to add your location to the interactive map let me know.

The goal of this meeting is to improve communication between case management and community providers. This ZOOM call provides thirty minutes of engagement with hospital case management staff, followed by 15 minutes of provider discussion if needed. “Run the race in front of you.”―Lyman Schmidt
My husband was a runner and would often give advice with running metaphors. Some of his favorites included: Run the race in front of you, just put one foot in front of the other, run your own race, and run hard and have fun". While I manage the loss of his dying, I hear him telling me to take one step at a time and to do it at my own pace. I won’t see the finish line until I finish the current route (in life or with an actual run).
P.S.- Ask me next month if I started running again and hold me accountable :)
