Mid-Willamette Valley Monthly Marketing Update- July 2023We are now in the final weeks to reserve your space in the upcoming October 2023 edition of the Mid-Willamette Valley Guide of Retirement Connection. Please contact Erin if you know someone who may be interested in learning more about the services that Retirement Connection provides. As always, we appreciate any referrals you can share for potential advertisers. We are honored to be the official resource for the Alzheimers Association, as well as several hospitals and area agencies on aging. If you know a business that wants to connect with seniors and their families- we are a one-stop shop with print, online, and networking. Thank you in advance for helping us continue to grow.
NOW- On a personal note, many of those in the community know my husband, Lyman, and have followed his cancer journey for the past 4+ years. Sadly, our work family lost a great man. After a brave fight against cancer, Lyman passed peacefully with family by his side. I am sharing this with you because our team is very, very close and this loss will be felt
by our entire work family in the coming weeks. I am asking for your grace and understanding as we navigate this time, as best as possible. We will continue to do our best but know there will be moments when each of us will be overwhelmed and falter.

“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.” ― Robert Jordan
I try to be a strong person- mentally and emotionally. As I have become more of a caregiver, I am realizing that strength is not as valuable as pliable. Even with athletes- Pliable muscles are softer, longer, and more resilient: they help insulate the body against injury and accelerate post-injury recovery, Being more flexible allows us to accept the things we cannot change, and recover more quickly.
