Greater Portland/Vancouver Monthly Marketing Update - May 2021
What was the best part of your week? Seriously- Tell me!!!! I want some happy news because this pandemic makes everyday feel like the movie “Ground Hog Day”. Last week, the team and I had left the office for a busy three day work retreat. We shared personal struggles; celebrated successes; planned for the next year; and just supported each other. The best part of my week was playing kick ball with my work family (and it was NOT because of our athletic prowess- Becky actually fell down running to 3rd base- FOR NO REASON).
After more than a year of COVID, many of us are experiencing some state of burnout. Erin and I are coordinating a great speaker for our meetings on “Compassion Fatigue” to help us all navigate better. I know you must be sick and tired of the ZOOM interactions, but we do value the opportunity to see your face and hear your voice. I hope you can join us for at least one of the Senior Service Network meetings, or the Transitions of Care call with the case managers. If you are not getting these e-mail reminders please let me know, and also check your junk/spam folders. We will be discussing how to report on CareAvailability.com if a housing facility requires vaccinations. Please join these calls!

Additional Resources
There are so many resources included in Retirement Connection, that often a few may slip past you and may not be noticed. Did you know that the guide also includes:
“I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead." - Mark Twain
Sometimes it is easier to share a lot of words quickly, rather than to say something briefly but to the point with more meaning. Brevity forces us to cut ambiguity and conditional language. A concise message has both value and challenges.
